You can screw these on clockwise along the threading on the bottom of your poles (approximately 3 inches up from the bottom). You can use this basket on deeper, softer ground. This basket is a bit wider so it will help in terrain with a few feet of snow.

Unfortunately what I was suppose to receive and what I got was two different things. I was to receive a "4 pack" of baskets but instead received 2 baskets thrown into a shipping package like they forgot about the order and did it on the fly

I purchased my first set of HHO adjustable trekking poles last August and used them daily until the snow got deep and I installed the snow baskets and one basket broke on my walk that day. Hungry Hiker Outfitters sent me 4 replacement snow baskets free of charge and they are of much more sturdy design and greatly appreciated. The poles are a wonderful design with the adjustable flip locks and cork handgrips. They are also extremely attractive which pleases me every time I look at them hanging by the door awaiting my next hike. The HHO trekking poles get high points on form and function and the company as well for great service. I highly recommend this product .

It is mind-boggling to me that you use the Postal Service when they are the most unreliable shipper in the United States. I had to go snowshoeing without snow baskets and it made it much more difficult. I have only received one follow up after sending several inquires. Very disappointed.
