I have been using hiking poles for over 20 years because of knee and balance issues. I hike frequently - often in steep rocky terrain. Hiker Hunger carbon fiber poles are far and away the best deal out there. They are lightweight, strong, adjustable for different conditions and situations, and very economical. There are other poles that are as good in the field, but they cost around $180. These cost $70. If you hike you should be using poles - at least when the conditions warrant. If you use poles, they should be Hiker Hunger carbon fiber poles!

The. carbon trekking poles are grea! Lightweight but solid and comfortable to use. Fit well into luggage. Best of all the customer service. Had a small problem with one section of one pole. My email was answered by Emily (the owner) while she was mountain biking in Idaho. Arranged for a replacement to be sent at no charge while she was on vacation.
